Newborn twins, Kyrie and Brielle Jackson, born in October 1995, at Massachusetts Memorial Hospital. Each of the twins weighed two pounds at birth. An article, "The Rescuing Hug," details the first week of their lives. Each were in their respective incubators, and one was not expected to live. A hospital nurse, Gayle Kasparian, RN, fought against hospital rules, placing the babies together in one incubator. When together they cuddled. In this picture, the healthier of the two throws an arm over her sister in an endearing embrace. As a result of their being together again, the smaller baby's heart rate stablized and her temperature rose to normal, her health improved steadily thereafter as they stayed together in one incubator. https://www.nrlc.org/news/2001/NRL04/hugs.html
