Transforming the feeling of being a victim . . .

"We can consider the encounter as a gift.  If we didn't have a wound that wasn't already there, we wouldn't have taken it personally.  Real strength is born of humility, having the courage to admit when we are bothered. We have a choice, we can choose to be less because of that experience or to be more because of it." - Dr. Trish Whynot

“What impressed me about Dr. Trish Whynot was her ability to see through the chaos of life’s web and identify the root cause of any problem. She has the natural ability to see past the smoke screen of drama, chaos and emotion and recognize the true origin of our physical, mental, social and even financial issues.” - Bob Olson

For him who has conquered the mind, the mind is the best of friends; but for one who has failed to do so, his mind will remain the greatest enemy. . .

Doubts and fears should be rigorously excluded; they are disintegrating elements which break up the straight line of effort, rendering it crooked, ineffectual, useless.  Thoughts of doubt and fear never accomplished anything and Never can.  They always lead to failure.  Purpose, energy, power-to-do, and all strong thoughts cease when doubt and fear creep in.

Happiness

"On Earth everyone yearns for happiness, but do they know what real happiness is?  No.  People on Earth think happiness means a lot of money, comfort, luxuries, fun and fame.  We are sorry to say that these things do not bring real happiness. Real happiness comes from true love, nature's beauty, genuine laughter and smiles, helping others selflessly, and purifying your soul to achieve a higher level."

I have learned to never worry about that which you have no control over

I have understood never judge something you know nothing about

I have studied these things with a belief that I know nothing

and I feel peace as to whatever comes and I have no fear

I live a free life as a result as I am not making my mind a prisoner to fear

Does a car have a choice where it goes when its done its life here ?  No ... it gets recycled , reborn as a toaster or a fridge magnet

Thankfully, we have a bit more scope in that department

One thing i don't do is wonder what I'm doing when i die because on my death bed i will be wondering what I did with my life

Live today

The only real cure for depression...

"... and therein lies the genius of my teacher, my mother's mother, who fulfilled herself completely by always forgetting herself in the joy of the welfare of all those around her. This is the only real cure for depression.
It is the prescription that would come from any authentic spiritual physician. If you dwell upon yourself and your own private satisfactions, the first disappointment will throw you into a depression.
If you can train to think more and more of the needs of all those around you, to work with people around you even if they are not always pleasant, you will be making yourself immune to depression, and you will be helping others to do the same."

From
THE PROPHET, Kahlil Gibran

Death is not the opposite of life. Life has no opposite. The opposite of death is birth. Life is eternal.

When you walk through a forest that has not been tamed and interfered with by man, you will see not only abundant life all around you, but you also encounter fallen trees and decaying trunks, rotting leaves and decomposing matter at every step.  Wherever you look, you will find death as well as life.

Upon closer scrutiny, however, you will discover that the decomposing tree trunk and rotting leaves not only give birth to new life, but are full of life themselves.  Microorganisms are at work. Molecules are rearranging themselves.  So death isn't to be found anywhere.  There is only the metamorphosis of life forms.

Forgiveness

First, let us forgive others for ways that may have harmed us.

If anyone, through their confusion, has harmed me in any way—either knowingly or unknowingly—I forgive them.

And now, let us ask for forgiveness for ways in which we may have harmed others.
If, through my own confusion, I have harmed anyone in any way—either knowingly or unknowingly—I ask for forgiveness.

And now, let us offer forgiveness to ourselves.

For all the ways that my own confusion has led me to harm myself, or be unkind to myself, I forgive myself.

Finally, if there is someone, including myself, who I'm not yet ready to forgive, I forgive myself for that.
