Rape Surviver
"God has shown me the only way to really be free when someone bestows injustice against you is complete forgiveness," she said. "My life changed forever and for the better. I chose not to remain a victim. I chose to live."

“You develop an instant global consciousness, a people orientation, an intense dissatisfaction with the state of the world, and a compulsion to do something about it. From out there on the moon, international politics look so petty. You want to grab a politician by the scruff of the neck and drag him a quarter of a million miles out and say, ‘Look at that, you son of a bitch.”

- Equanimity. True inner peace comes when we can respond to success and failure, praise and criticism in the same detached way. The Zen Master did not allow the unexpected event to disturb his inner peace and inner happiness. It shows that real happiness does not depend on the opinions of others.
- Acceptance. Whatever life throws at us, we need to accept the external influences we have no control over. The only thing we are responsible for is our own inner attitude.
- Character. True character depends on how we respond to difficult challenges.
- Judging Others. We should avoid making jumping to conclusions on people’s character.
- Conscience. We can never be happy when we ignore our conscience.
- Language. Language is very revealing. We can speak with anger and rage or we can speak peacefully.

“...The world needed to suffer in order to understand the simplest of universal principles, the unity of man with man and with God. The world of men had to reap the harvest of its seeds of hate, selfishness and greed it had been sowing for centuries. It had to reap this harvest in order to learn that universal law is inevitable and inescapable.”

“The hypothesis that all matter is sentient to some degree is terribly appealing for it elegance, simplicity, and logical coherence. Once you assume that consciousness is real and ontologically distinct from its physical substrate, then it is a simple step to conclude that the entire cosmos is suffused with sentience: it is in the air we breath, the soil we tread on … and the brain that enables us to think."
Koch, 2012
