Control Issues

"People don't control themselves, their own lives, and yet they want to control the world. As a matter of fact, there is a law involved in that. The less control an individual has over his own internal state, the more he will be compelled, forced, whipped along to try to control other people. Because this means that in this state of weakness, of immaturity, he's going to try to get rid of the pain of the fact by trying to prove that he does have power. And what he does is hurt, what he does is destroy, all unconscious, not seeing that his own lack of internal command of himself, of his life - spiritual command - not seeing that his own lack of that is what spurs him on and this is the cause of all the destruction in the world." ~ Howard Vernon

Forgiveness

The most beautiful thing a man can do is to forgive wrong.

Never is hate diminished by hatred. It is only diminished by love -- this is an eternal law.

The noble-minded dedicate themselves to the promotion of peace and happiness of others -- even those who injure them.

The glider ride...

"Contemplation can be compared to flying a glider. The tow plane connects by cable to the glider, and lifts it to a good altitude. Then the glider pilot reaches down and pulls the connection, flying away to soar in the beautiful silence of the open sky." ~ Super Wisdom

Remember when when went on the glider ride together? XX

Man's False Belief

"It is an ego-centered illusion that man has a separate identity, that he is something apart from the Cosmic Whole. It breeds pressure, resentment, treachery against others.

Man's false belief in a separate identity resembles an island which is apparently cut off from the mainland, though they are actually one and the same from beneath the surface." ~ The Power of Your Supermind
